There are many privacy concerns regarding the amazon echo. Today, I will talk about some of the ways that “Alexa” could invade your privacy.
1. Echo has a camera.
The latest version of Amazon Echo has a pre-installed camera that will take pictures of you and provide you with fashion advices. However, it feels pretty unsafe to have a machine taking pictures of you and your living room. Especially when you don't have full control over the device.
2. Everything is recorded.
When you give a commend to Echo, it records the conversation. Although you are able to delete the reocording, many people forget about it and leave the recording on the device. This is definitely an intrusion of your privacy.
3.The device is easily hackable.
The Amazon Echo is not a carefully protected device. It is very vulnerbale to experienced hackers and can be easily turned into a tapping device. There are even simple tutorials online that teaches how to hack an Amazon Echo.

Amazn Echo and security problems
People's love of voice-activated devices
With the invention of voice-activated assistants, Americans seems to fall in love with these new toys. There are a lot of firends around me that have installed one of these devices at home. It is easy to see why these devices are so popular. It is fun to talk to it and it can actually be pretty helpful. However, there are also security concerns accompanied with these voice-activated devices.
It is alwasy listening.
According to a recently released guide to sceurity of voice-activated smart speakers, the devices will liseten and record everything once it is triggered. And people also accidentally trigger their talking assistants without even knowing it. Their conversations will be recored and sent to back-up server which is creating a privacy and security issue.
